Responsibilities
Ownership of the Blitz Game Mode
- Created and implemented new cards and Blitz content using the game's tools and the live services CMS
- Tweaked and tuned the balance of units and powers to suit the Blitz game mode
- Collaborated with artists, animators and programmers to produce work of a high quality
- Liased with our partners at 343 industries to deliver content
- Fully documented the game mode in hand-over documentation
- Made use of the game's statistics tracking in order to identify trends in player behaviour and discover correlations with player feedback
Campaign Support
- Assisted with the design and balance of campaign leader powers
- Liased with campaign level designers to balance units and structures accordingly
- Attended cross-discipline meetings in order to ensure that the design vision was clear
Multiplayer
- Participated in playtests to inform the direction of the game balance
- Attended feedback sessions and compiled notes on all aspects of the game
- Made balance and text alterations to improve the QoL of the game

Project Overview:
Awakening the Nightmare is an expansion pack to Halo Wars 2. Following the events of Halo Wars 2, players can now play as the legendary Banished and lead Pavium and Voridus in a fight for survival against an ancient enemy – the Flood.
Tools Used
Proprietary Game Engine - Used the tools to tag up assets for other disciplines and alter unit visuals
Notepad++ - Edited game's XML files in order to create and balance units, powers and core game features
Microsoft Excel - Created and maintained comprehensive balance and tracker spreadsheets
Perforce - Used daily when interacting with the game's files
Orchard CMS - Utilised to update and maintain the live services component of Blitz Mode
Confluence & Word - Documented features and created handover documentation
Hansoft - Tracked and updated work on a daily basis
Team Foundation Server - Tracked issues and created informative dashboards
The Expansion includes a new single player and co-op campaign with ultra-realistic cinematics, two new multiplayer leaders to use in Blitz and traditional multiplayer, and a brand-new tower defense firefight mode called Terminus Firefight.
